Bond… Double Bond

Our name has nothing to do with the cinematic classic character James Bond, but can’t a girl have a little fun on a Tuesday night with the hefty company of a glass of Syrah?

The name’s Bond… Double Bond.

It all started in 2007 with the full-bodied, lusciously deep wine made from the fleshy dark grapes from the specific soils in cool Ballard Canyon outside of Santa Barbara.

And although our namesake is heralded from a more scientific avenue (i.e. the double bond between atoms that characterize interactions that are stronger, more reactive and less common in nature) it’s irresistible to occasionally tinker with one of the most iconic characters of film history.

And when it comes to a playful, seductive and simultaneously serious nature, it’s hard to tell if I am talking about MI6’s man of mystery or our Syrah…

Indeed the two seem to play rather nicely together- and since we all are going on 5 months of free evenings on our calendar, we invite you to the ultimate accompaniment;

Be it From Russia With Love to Casino Royal (the 2006 release of course) and perhaps to the most enjoyed Goldfinger- fill your glass with tyrian blue ink edged with deep sapphire.

Take in the longest breath of creme de cassis and muddled violet leaving a wisp of wild mountain blueberries and dried black tea leaves in a place where smell and taste collide.

At last, bring in your first sip of focused spice box and dark chocolate cherries intermingled with sultry black currant, soft wildflowers and oaked spice to wait in epicurean anguish through the infinite finish for the next sip.

“Why 2010 Syrah- I didn’t recognize you with your cork in…”
